Dear Bin Wu and Christian,

BEAMPART indeed singles out the primary from all other particles. It is useful
for filtering the primary for scoring fluence and/or energy deposition.

For cross-section and production yield, however, USRYIELD is the key, which Bin
Wu got right in a very recent post. Indeed, USRYIELD is there for this purpose,
as numerous posts in fluka-discuss archive readily testify, and there are many
discussions and materials ready for reference. Are you abandoning USRYIELD?

If you do not want to use USRYIELD, the alternative is via ENTRY USDRAW in
mgdraw.f. This is not recommended unless one has specific reasons to, and unless
knows exactly what's what. Anyway, here is the algorithm:
- whenever the projectile is primary (LTRACK=1 or ISPUSR(MKBMX2)=1), loop
through all the ejectiles (use variable(s) KPART and/or NPHEAV)
- each time you encounter the ejectile or ejectile-combination you desire,
increment your counter
- at the end of the run, get usrout.f to normalise the total in your counter by
the number of primaries (include CASLIM, variable NCASE)
- the results will be N produced ejectile per projectile, which may then
converted to the desired unit (barns or whatever).

Hi Bin Wu!

I believe the particle type BEAMPART is exactly what you are looking for. And
then using the appropriate scoring card, with this option.

Cheerio,

Dear FLUKA experts,

I want to record the collision frequency of source particles, not including the
collision of secondary particles. Is that possible in FLUKA?

And how to do that?

Regards,

    Bin Wu
