Dear Mikhail,

Many thanks for your reply.

I didn't mention in my previous e-mail but I'm using an AUXSCORE card to filter a particular particle type. My problem is that there is no particle code available in FLUKA for fragments, so I'm not able to specify my fragments according with their atomic number...

Best wishes,
Ana

Dear FLUKA experts,

I'm simulating in FLUKA a carbon ion beam and I'm interested in scoring
the dose (using a USRBIN card) and the fluence differential in energy
(using a USRTRACK card) for fragments with Z=1, Z=2, Z=3, Z=4 and Z=5.
As there is no particle codes available in FLUKA for such particles I
would like to know how can I do this?

From the manual, heavy fragments should be handled in a file called
FHEAVY, but I don't understand how I can link this file to FLUKA or how
I should edit it...

I would very much appreciate any help.

Many thanks,
Ana

Dear Ana,

There is a AUXSCORE card for filtering a particular particle / ion type, you can just bind an AUXSCORE card to an already defined USRBIN card.

Best regards,
Mikhail

For AUXSCORE WHAT(2) allows to set a particular ion: for example Carbon-11 is Z=6, A=11, M=0 then WHAT(2) = ?(Z ? 100 + A ? 100000 + M ? 100000000) = -100600.
In flair you AUXSCORE part should have an empty value, and then Z and A value will be available for editing.

Best regards,
Mikhail
