Dear Shakeel

I believe you would like to run heavy ion interactions as the ones in the LHC. The center of mass energy for the collision (so far) corresponds to 2.76 TeV per colliding nucleon pair or 1.38 TeV/nucleon.
You would first need to define the lead beam with the BEAM and HI-PROPRE card
BEAM 1380.0 HEAVYION
HI-PROPE 82.0 208.0
And for SPECSOUR you would need something like this in that case
SPECSOUR 574000. CROSSSYM
SPECSOUR 208.0&
SPECSOUR 82. &

And as stated in the manual for DPMJET energy range, you should not forget to link DPMJET (ldpmqmd script) and to have a physics card with the maximum center of mass momentum (SDUM LIMITS) for initialization purpose
Hoping this help
Greetings
Joachim

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Difference between Beam Momentum and Lab momentum

Dear All
I will appreciate if some one let me know the answers of the following 1. Momentum and lab momentum in FLUKA cards 2. Relation between Energy and momentum e.g I want to run heavy ion interaction, say at 3Tev how should I calculate momentum that should be entered in SPECSOUR card with + and - sign thanks in advance shakeel __________________________________________________________________________
