Dear FLUKA experts/users,
I have simulated a thin layer of B-10 between to layer of alanine material
as a target. The target was bombarded with a thermal neutron beam and the
amount of energy deposited by alpha and lithium particles produced due to
neutron absorption of boron nuclei was recorded in alanine cells. In order
to obtain the maximum energy deposition in alanine, the thickness of B-10
layer was selected to be from zero to 10 micrometers and optimum thickness
of 2 micrometers was obtained.
Now, I have two questions:
Does FLUKA have reliable output if the thickness of the target is only
several micrometers?
Is there any special parameters or things I need to be aware when i am using
FLUKA
 with such thin targets?
