According to the FLUKA user license, use of FLUKA for commercial
purposes is not allowed unless previously negotiated with the
Copyright holders.
For the case of occasional commercial consultancies, the Copyright
holders propose the following general conditions of use:
1) The use of FLUKA for occasional commercial consultancies is allowed free of charge provided that the consultant is not an employee of her/his client, nor she/he holds a continuative work relationship with her/his client; 2) The results obtained with FLUKA by the consultant shall not be distributed as part of a commercial product, nor constitute in any way a tool for the development of a commercial product; 3) The results obtained with FLUKA by the consultant shall not be used for patent applications; 4) The consultant shall register himself as such on the FLUKA web site, specifying the contractor's identity and the aim and extent of the consultancy; 5) Occasional commercial consultancies are subject to all provisions of the FLUKA user license, and associated authors requests to users. The consultant shall explicitly state her/his acceptance of the license and of the request to users, and she/he shall explicitly state that the consultancy is not related to military applications.
Users willing to use FLUKA for a commercial consultancy who are not sure to fulfill the conditions, or plan to routinely use FLUKA for consultancies, are invited to contact one of the Fluka Coordinating Committee members:
