I have encountered, and spent mucn time resolving, the permission bits
that come the fluka files. Things have changed between respins 2c.4 (and
every prior distribution) and 2c.6. I run 64-bit Linux.
I unpack the fluka tar file under /usr/local/fluka. In the past, I have
changed all file ownerships to nobody:users, to get access as a user. I
still do that, but then I found I did not have access to all the needed
files, such as flukapro and random.dat.
In the past, the group 'r' flag was set on all files. Now, only a few
have it. The flag is now absent on the flukapro directory as well as all
files under it. A few files in the top directory have it but, for
example, random.dat does not. After resetting the permisisons, I could
finally run my jobs.
Please correct this issue for all future issues.
Thank you.
