Dear experts and other Fluka users,
Looking for an advice in the specific case of mine - maybe someone will be able to give some insights and thoughts as I am running out of time and options.
I am trying to do some kind of "reverse engineering " - model the beam / geometry just from the experimental results with gafchromic films/doses. The only info I have is the machine spectrum, the machine model - Gulmay D3225, and the isodoses, see attached. If I am using just simple flat annular beam as in the default BEAM options, the values are more less ok, but the isolines of the doses are not flattened much, especially in the far end, they are round. My guess that Gulmay is using some kind of flattening filter, but I have zero documentation about this machine and I am unable to find anything more in the web. Blind guesses, i.e. modelling cone shaped Al2O3 filter before the initial beam does flatten the beam somehow, but still the shape is not like in the real experiment. Maybe someone has any knowledge about this machine, or just have some awesome thoughts/insights what else I could use for such, let's say, unusual task?
