Dear Boyu,
this is a two-step calculations.
You can find some insights (and warnings as well) in this thread
http://www.fluka.org/web_archive/earchive/new-fluka-discuss/5989.html
Following the recipe, you get dose per primary electron. Eventually you need to multiply this result by the number of electrons [current x time / (unit charge)]
to get your final result.
In case you need more guidance, please let us know.
Best, luigi

Greetings, FLUKA experts
I am building a Monte Carlo simulation model for low energy x-ray dosimetry measurements.
Photon is generated by simulating a low energy electron beam hitting a target. I collected the photon spectrum and created a source file using the spectrum. Simulation using the source file is simulating photon source to improve the efficiency of the program. I use USERBIN X-Y-Z dose to score the dose. To my understanding the result of this simulation is going to give me dose/event which is dose /photon, but I need dose/mAs. However since I used a source file and simulation photons directly, the unit conversion is tricky. Has any other people had experience with this problem before?
Thank you very much for your help!
Sincerely,
Boyu
