This is the result of a very unlucky RedHat distribution philosophy which affects versions 7.0, 7.1 and 7.2 in particular. The problem, which is centered around the shipped version of the GNU linker, is resolved in RedHat version 7.3 and users are strongly encouraged to upgrade at least their linker. For the time being, and intended as an interim solution, a FLUKA library produced under RedHat 7.2 is provided. this version was developed under RedHat 7.1 hence it will not work for RedHat systems with an older compiler/libc combination.
