Hi

the only results you should compare with for TARC are those officially
published by the TARC collaboration: in their papers their report FLUKA
simulations which are correct and in agreement with the present code.
I assume you have the papers from TARC (one is a 250 page long NIM paper
where also all simulation details are discussed).
I do not know ref. [2], maybe what they did is correct, surely what has
been done in the TARC published papers is the "right" numbers you should
get out of the code and their simulation was very careful.

There is no way that the code results change by as much as 30-50% from one
version to another. There should be an obvious mistake or in your numbers
or in those of ref. [2].
