    An example is better than an explanation.
    Here in attachment you find a simple FLUKA geometry
    which defines a cylindrical target, 1 cm thick
    and of 2.5 cm of radius, where I have defined
    an upstream, a downstream and a lateral region.
    It should help you to solve your case.
