You are bombarding a gold (Au) foil with neutrons (n), how do you want to evaluate the spectrum of the B(n,α)Li reaction by using that setup?
Yes, you might get B via spallation on Au, but I don’t think that primary neutrons can interact with reaction products (generated also by other primary neutrons) to get your α + 7Li.
