Dear fluka experts.
I have a question regarding calculation of production rate of residual
nucleus. I have a proton beam with intensity of 6.242E+12 proton/s
interacting with uranium carbide (UC2) target. I have run simulation for
50 cycles with primary beam of 1E+07. I need to calculate the activity
of residual nuclei produced when the air inside the vault get activated
by neutrons. From the attached file (.lis file), this is how I
calculated the on beam production rate of 3H:
Production_Rate = (number_nuclei_3H)/(beam_intensity) =
(1.14E-5)*(6.242E+12) = 7.12E+7 nuclei/cmc/s
I want know if the above calculation of production rate is correct.
Many thanks,
Obed
