Hi,
Importance biasing uses regions of your normal geometry (not a different grid or something alike like in some codes). Typically this means that you may have to segment regions into smaller ones. Alternatively, you might venture into the use of usimbs.f subroutine if you are comfortable with FORTRAN and have some experience with Fluka.
And no, regions should not overlap. Every pony of your geometry should belong to exactly one region.

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Importance Sampling
Dear Fluka Users,
How to do importance sampling in FLUKA (Russian Roulette method)?
In this method, do I have to define the regions separately? If yes, then they will overlap.
Please help.
With Regards,
Jyoti
