As stated in the manual (and installation instructions) you should use the
g77 version with a 32 bit machine and the gfortran one for 64 bit machine.
You should not define FLUFOR=gfortran on 32 bit machine if so the
compilation will not work.
Next step is to install g77 on the Ubuntu 11.04. There are several
tutorials on the web so I won't reinvent the wheel but I can point to any
of those links.
