Dear Fluka experts,

I am trying to determine the attenuation of 0.15 MeV neutrons by polyethylene. I modified the input file of an example, and then score the dose of two very thin regions of water. I got the following results, for dose (scored using usrbin) in the first water region, which is before the polystylene:

.....................................
Region binning n. 1 "DoseTg1 " , generalized particle n. 228
2 bins corresponding to the region sets:
from region 2 to region 3 in step of 1 regions, or
from region 0 to region 0 in step of 1 regions, or
from region 0 to region 0 in step of 1 regions
Data follow in an array A(ir), format (1(5x,1p,10(1x,e11.4)))

accurate deposition along the tracks requested
      this is a track-length binning
       3.0224E-11 3.2834E-03

Percentage errors follow in an array A(ir), format (1(5x,1p,10(1x,e11.4)))

       1.2185E+01 1.1326E-01
......................................
does that mean dose is 1.2185E+01 Gy?

and in the second water region, the following:

.......................................
Region binning n. 2 "DoseTg3 " , generalized particle n. 228
2 bins corresponding to the region sets:
from region 3 to region 4 in step of 1 regions, or
from region 0 to region 0 in step of 1 regions, or
from region 0 to region 0 in step of 1 regions
Data follow in an array A(ir), format (1(5x,1p,10(1x,e11.4)))

accurate deposition along the tracks requested
      this is a track-length binning
       3.2834E-03 7.8113E-10

Percentage errors follow in an array A(ir), format (1(5x,1p,10(1x,e11.4)))

       1.1326E-01 2.2951E+01
...........................................

then the attenuation of dose is about 99%, about 1% of the dose passed through?

but then this is quite different from stated tenth value layer of polyethylene, which is 24 cm.

I have included here the input file. Am I missing something? thank you very much for any help!

Sherry
