It seems that it is because the geometry in the plan you are considering is empty thus FLAIR does not know what to use as a geometry to overlay to the plot. It should solve the problem if you select "No" in the Geometry->Use->"No" menu on the bottom right of the plot tab. It worked when I did this.

Here you can find a complete set of input, source and output file to reproduce another similar error example that I found. Please discard some name inconsistences (for example: EneDep is the name of the USRBIN, but neutron particles are requested actually) in the input file, since they are refuses of many tries.
Please note that, in order to perform the run, the source_spectrum.f file must be compiled (I did it in FLAIR) in order to let FLUKA read the neutron source spectrum reported in the "spectrum.dat" file.
In particular, I ran the case and tried to plot the USRBIN in the plane y=0 and the gnuplot error (Gnuplot_Error.txt) appeared.
In the same time, the file "Ni_50_plot.dat" was created: I assume that it lists the USRBIN values that should be plotted by gnuplot, and they are all non-zeroes...

Could you send your input and the necessary outputs to reproduce the problem with flair. Are you sure that your USRBIN data are not all zero in the area where you are plotting or that the geometry that you overlay on the colour plot is not empty ?
