From the manual, Note 8) to command BEAM:
...... if the isotope is radioactive, it will be necessary to request decay in
semi-analogue mode (command RADDECAY with WHAT(1) > 1).
..........
decay secondaries are sampled over the whole decay time from zero to
infinity, and all scoring will refer to the time integral of isotope
activity (dose, fluence, current, yield or residual nuclei PER
DECAY.....
Therefore, "number of primaries" in this case means "number of decays"

Dear FLUKA experts & users
For a radioactive source defined (by using HI-PROPE, RADDECAY and DCYCSORE cards), what does "number of primaries" mean? For example, in the decay of Cs-137 both beta and gamma particles are emitted. Assume that I defined 1.0E+6 primaries by START option. What does this number account for? Betas? Gammas? or sum of two?
