Location

Venue

The venue is at the University campus (Im Neuenheimer Feld), building 350 (Otto Meyerhof Zentrum, see the campus map and the dedicated German page). Do not use the main entry but the entry on the east side.

Bus connection with the old town is provided by lines 31 and 32 (www.vrn.de), the latter links to the railway station too. See also here.

Getting Heidelberg

By flight

Public transportation between the Frankfurt airport and Heidelberg is performed by train, from Frankfurt(M)Flughafen to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof with one change (fare ~18-25 Euros each way), by shared van (www.tls-heidelberg.de, 33 Euros each way), or by Lufthansa bus if taking a Lufthansa flight (check with them).

By train

Look at www.db-bahn.de for Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof.

Accommodation

A large number of rooms have been reserved in three different hotels. In case you are interested in this solution, you must personally contact the preferred hotel at the indicated e-mail address within the respective deadline and finalize your own booking mentioning the booking code "FLUKA". The prices below are intended per night.

Hotel Ibis

To get the Course venue, take the bus 32 (at 1min walking distance) for Kopfklinik (12min bus journey).

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten

Transportation in Heidelberg

Tickets can be purchased by the machines at the bus stops (several languages available) or directly by the bus driver (only single tickets, Euro coins and small change recommended). The zone to be selected for circulation in Heidelberg is "Preisstufe 2" (or "city" for several day cards).

Single ticket, 2.20 Euro per way (90 min)

"Bahncard Ticket", 1.70 Euro per way (90 min) for people owning a German Bahncard (to be shown)

Stock of 5 tickets ("Mehrfahrtkarte"), 1.98 Euro per way (90 min)

One-day ticket for one person ("Ticket 24"), 5.30 Euro

One-day ticket for group up to 5 persons ("Ticket 24 Plus"), 9.30 Euro

Three-day-card for one person ("3-Tages-Karte"), 13.30 Euro
