running FLUKA in GRID (length of $FLUPRO)

    Dear FLUKA users,

Are there any limits for $FLUPRO, $FLUTIL, user's home directory length to
be in FLUKA? If there are limits, is it possible to change them somehow?

I'm asking this question because I had a problem running FLUKA in GRID.
The task crashes with the following message:

Abort called from BERSEL reason BREMSS FILE NOT FOUND Run stopped!
     STOP BREMSS FILE NOT FOUND

I supposed that FLUKA cannot find this file because of the limitation of
the maximum number of characters allowed for variables mentioned above. As
you know, the name of user's home dir on CE (computing element in GRID)
looks like very long generated string like this:

    /var/tmp/edg_wl_scratch/WMS_wn071_027819_https_3a_2f_2flcg16.sinp.msu.ru_3a9000_2fPGSM9IKSvubEyi7hGEc3mw

A user is supposed to keep any files in his home directory, so the number
of characters in variables $FLUPRO, $FLUTIL and user's home dir is
    accordingly large.

In order to find out whether my supposition is truth, I have explicitly
shorten the name of my working dir by creating a temporary directory on
CE: /var/tmp/kbat and used it like my home dir. This way NOT NEARLY
    ELEGANT has solved the problem.

Has anyone faced with the same problem?
Is it really the problem of variable's length? (seems to me, yes)

      Konstantin
