[fluka-discuss]: Doubts regarding the angular distribution in USRBDX output

Dear FLUKA Experts,

The one way scoring of USRBDX card gives information of energy distribution
and angular distribution of particles crossing a surface ( let's say over a
spherical surface). In the output we get energy distribution with integrated
solid angle.

Also, for each angular bin, the energy distribution of fluence is generated
in the output.

Now this "theta" is the angle between the particle trajectory and the normal
to the boundary at the point of crossing. Now the particle will cross at
different points on the spherical surface, and hence the axis of reference
from which this theta is measured should be different from each other.
Hence, how does this theta correlate with the positions of all particles
crossing the sphere? In other words, how can we relate this theta value with
the direction cosine of the particles crossing the spherical surface ?

Thanks and Regards

Riya dey
