Yes.

More savvy FLUKers may want to comment/correct on this subtle point, but
after a nuclear inelastic interaction, all emerging particles are
secondaries. And for good reason: in the final state after a collision
one can generally not distinguish/label/identify the incoming projectile
anymore.

Thus, one cannot strictly speak of "the mother particle producing two
secondaries in two different regions". If a parent particle's generation
number is N and it undergoes a nuclear inelastic interaction, all
produced particles have generation number N+1, and at this point you can
strictly speaking no longer identify the parent particle among them.

Still, you can keep track of where interactions happened, how to
propagate them, etc. See e.g.
