Dear 李立华,

I extracted the data points from your attached plots and made a comparison.
As you can see from the attached plot, the results are NOT the same.

When you use USRBDX and AUXSCORE cards like in your screenshots, FLUKA
multiplies the USRBDX fluence values by the EAP74 fluence-to-dose conversion
coefficients (I plotted the coefficients from Pelliccioni:
https://doi.org/10.1093/oxfordjournals.rpd.a033046). This gives you the
USRBDX+AUXSCORE curve, which is now effective dose.

In addition, I recommend seeing the lecture on scoring below from one of the
past FLUKA courses:

From your screen capture of flair, you have already calculated the effective
dose of NEUTRONs using AUXSCORE: neutron fluence energy spectrum *
fluence-to-dose conversion coefficients (EAP74). You need to integrate this
spectrum if you want a single value for your effective dose, and I would
recommend using the _tab.lis file because it is easier to handle.

To see for yourself, you may create an additional USRBDX scoring but specify
NEUTRON as opposed to DOSE-EQ. You will find that the resulting values are
different because one has the conversion coefficients applied.

I use Auxscore command to obtain effective dose(see the picture below),but
simulation result seems still to be flux(likes only use USXBDX
command),please see the results file named carrht6_41_sum.lis in the
appendix,

how can i obtain the effective dose using AUXSCORE?

Dear 李立华,

Please keep the emails on the fluka-discuss mailing list as well.

Yes, it is possible to filter the result for effective does of neutron with
WHAT(2) of AUXSCORE. By default it is for all particles “ALL-PART”, so your
card should instead have either the FLUKA particle code “8.0” or with the
name based input “NEUTRON”. In this way, your neutron fluence from USRBDX is
multiplied by the dose conversion coefficients.

Dear 李立华,

If I understand your question, I believe you are asking how to calculate
“effective” dose from fluence using USRBDX? If so, I would recommend using
the AUXSCORE card with your USRBDX. There are several sets of
fluence-to-dose conversion coefficients built into FLUKA that you may use.
Note that you also need to specify DOSE-EQ scoring for WHAT(2) of your
USRBDX card.
