Dear Users
I write to you as one of the FLUKA authors and as responsible of the
FLUKA group within INFN.
I would like to reassure you that we will continue the development and
distribution of the FLUKA code as
available since 2005 on the www.fluka.org website.
The fluka-discuss mailing list, as well as the organisation of user
courses will also continue.
Best Regards
Paola Sala

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: IMPORTANT: Distribution and support of FLUKA
and Flair by CERN
Dear FLUKA users,
Following the CERN-INFN joint message on 31 August 2019*, and the
termination of the CERN-INFN agreement under which FLUKA has been
distributed since 2003, CERN set up a framework for sustainable code
maintenance, development and distribution of FLUKA.
As of today, the code approved and supported by CERN will be available at:
http://fluka.cern
where, together with future collaborators, we will publish new releases
according to a transparent and controlled lifecycle. CERN will therefore
discontinue its support of www.fluka.org .
A modern forum has been created for assistance and exchange among users.
It is available at:
http://cern.ch/fluka-forum
You are invited to sign up now in order to keep up to date on FLUKA and
related matters.
The FLUKA binary packages, as well as the source code, are available
under new licence conditions at
http://fluka.cern . The source code is
downloadable by users whose scientific institutions sign the applicable
licence agreement.
For data privacy protection reasons, your fluka.org credentials
(fuid-NNN) cannot be automatically transferred to the new website. You
are therefore kindly invited to follow a simple one-time registration
procedure, which is explained at:
https://fluka.cern/download/registration
Together with FLUKA, a new version of Flair is now available at:
http://cern.ch/flair
It features a substantial restructuring, based on python3. Our intention
is that other simulation codes (such as PENELOPE, Geant4, ...) will be
supported within the same interface in the near future.
Questions and issues will be followed up by the CERN team and all
contributing partners at
http://cern.ch/fluka-forum only.
Future FLUKA training courses supported by CERN will be announced via:
http://fluka.cern and
http://cern.ch/fluka-forum .
We look forward to working with the FLUKA community in preserving and
enhancing the outstanding scientific record of FLUKA.
Kind regards,
The CERN FLUKA team
