Dear Alessandro
maybe the overall effect of the water moderator is small? I tried to
substitute it with vacuum, it looks like the results are not so different
(but I have small statistics. ). If one places a usrbin scoring neutrons
all over the geometry, one sees neutrons coming from everywhere. It is
true that you define a small scoring area corresponding to the direct path
from water, but this does not mean that neutrons coming from the rest of
the geometry are not scored.
