Dear Fluka Experts,
I have a copper disc of dimensions, 1.5 mm radius and 5 mm thickness that I want to know what would be the damage effect of neutrons on it.
So I simulated with FLUKA the dpa using USRBIN DPA-SCO. I simulated the coper disc being bombarded by three neutron energies, 1 keV, 1MeV, and 10 MeV so as to compare them.
This were done on separate input files, but I have the input file of one attached.
I have three questions that relates to this, and I’ll appreciate it if you could help me understand the results.
Questions:
1. Can you please check if my input file is correct and I did not miss anything concerning estimating dpa
2. I plotted the dpa results using 1D Max and 1D Projection in USRBIN. The results are different. The 1D Max results are larger than that of the 1D Projection. What result should I use
for dpa between the two.
3. Generally, dpa results are given as one value like for example, 2 dpa. So how do I get to this one value that describes the dpa the whole material experienced.
That is all from me. Thanking you in advance for your help.
Regards
