Difference in Energy Deposition between "Energy" and "EM-Energy"

I am simulating the amount of energy deposited in Argon gas at pressures from 0.5 to 7 bar.
I notice that the ration of "EM Energy" to "Energy"
is about 0.9. My question is where is the missing energy going to?
As my detector only measures charged particles, I assume that I should use
"EM energy". Is that statement true?
