Download the glibc-2.15 rpm from the following link
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/linux/releases/17/Everything/i386/os/Packages/g/glibc-2.15-37.fc17.i686.rpm

and then try :
rpm -U glibc-2.15-37.fc17.i686.rpm

Think that this should work..
