Dear Ali,
I have the suspicion that you have not allocated enough memory for flupix in VirtualBox. gplevbin requires more memory than the standard FLUKA executable. Internally it needs to open x4 the maximum USRBIN fluka can allocate. You need at least 800Mb for it to run + 200-300 Mb for linux + 100+ for flair. So I would say minimum of 1Gb, recommended around 1.5Gb to be allocated.

By the way, I have a similar problem with all versions after the Flair 0.9.x (within the Flupix context).
I must add that currently I'm using the old version: flupix-2011-2-6_flair-0.9-5.iso to have USRBIN plots.
