Dear Tristan,

Much depends on which default you are using. If you have NEW-DEFA, or no DEFAULT card at all, particle transport threshold is set at 10 MeV.
It is always recommended to attach input files to questions sent to this list.

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: energy deposition for 3MeV protons
Hi, I am trying to calculate the energy deposition of 3MeV protons impinging on various metals, the energy is deposited within a depth of a fraction of a mm depending on the metal. I am using FLUKA with the default settings so low energy neutron library activated.
I find the energy deposition as a function of depth looks quite flat without the significant bragg peak that was expected. Can someone explain why I am not seeing a sharp bragg peak at this energy?
Many Thanks
Tristan
