Dear Sanjay,

For your application, you would need to customize the available FLUKA source routine according to your specific needs. You can find the routine in: $FLUPRO/usermvax/source.f
Note that you have to link this routine and create your own FLUKA executable.

Typically, what you need to implement in order to get a customized geometrical distribution of source particles are the initial position coordinates:
      XFLK (NPFLKA) = ...
      YFLK (NPFLKA) = ...
      ZFLK (NPFLKA) = ...
as well as the direction cosines:
      TXFLK (NPFLKA) = ...
      TYFLK (NPFLKA) = ...
      TZFLK (NPFLKA) = ...
Depending on your application, you may want to sample from appropriate spatial and angular distributions to set up your source.

In addition, one can modify many other things in the source routine like the particle type and the kinetic energy (or momentum). However, if you don't modify these variables, they are still taken from the BEAM card.

Cheers, Anton

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Emission from different regions

Dear Fluka experts

I am simulating detector response in nuclear waste line, in which my geometry is composed of different waste line pipes and a detector. i want to take these different pipes as a source. how to do simulate emission from individual regions. is there any user routine for this type of problem?

Thanks in advance
