Dear Everybody,

You have to remember, when you first downloaded FLUKA, you agreed to be on the mailing list. You cannot sign off from the mailing list <only>, you have to stop using the code itself as well.

I agree with all of you, who are upset, if someone is asking you to solve a problem from scratch without spending any time to try to solve his/her problem.

It would be good to hear the FLUKA experts opinion on this.

I am a member of an MCNP mailing list as well, and time to time this issue comes up: someone is asking an uneducated question, and the people try to sign off from the list sending annoying emails to the whole list. That sets off an avalanche off signing off requests. Any email request to signing off should be sent to the developers, not to the user list.
