When you say all ions can be transported - do you mean both electronic and nuclear stopping?
As far as I understand, BME is applied at energies < 125 MeV/A for heavy ion interactions, but the limit of validity was reported some time ago to be 150MeV/A. I was hoping maybe there were some advances in benchmarking.
I'm interested in energy deposition and activation by <50 MeV/A uranium ions. Do you think it's safe to use FLUKA or it's better to choose alternatives?

Interactions of Deuterons are missing below 150 MeV/A and unreliable above.
Interactions of tritons and 3-He are missing below 150 MeV/A
