Dear Bo Yang,

The linear (or mass) attenuation coefficient is increasing significantly
when photon have energy 10 MeV and more, because of pair production.

For example for lead:

Energy (MeV) / Mass attenuation coefficient (cm^2 / gram).

5,00 0,0426
6,00 0,0436
8,00 0,0459
10,0 0,0489

Best regards,
Mikhail
