Hi Dirk,
I've seen this error before, it appears for some DICOM files on some specific
versions of numpy & pydicom, but not for all linux distributions.
It seems to be some incompatibility between the pydicom and the numpy versions.
Unfortunately I don't have any solution for the moment.

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: DICOM Viewing Error After Upgrade
I had been running
Fedora 3.19.8-100.fc20.x86_64
Python 2.7.5
GCC 4.8.3
Numpy 1.9.0
Pydicom 0.9.8
Flair 2.1-7
With which I was able to import and process DICOM files in flair. After upgrading to
Fedora 4.1.5-200.fc22.x86_64
Python 2.7.10
GCC 5.1.1
Numpy 1.9.2
Pydicom 0.9.9
Flair 2.1-7
When I use the exact same DICOM files as before, the DICOM information is present but the viewer gives me an error
Cannot display dicom
All the input array must have
Same number of dimensions
Any ideas as to where the problem might be?
