Dear Barbara,
 
First of all I can suggest you to have a look to a couple of useful
presentations of the last FLUKA course that can help you in the first steps.
Of course the FLUKA manual is always the first reference to check! I suggest
also a deep research in the past threads of this mailing list, since most of
the information you need are already available.

Here some quick tips on the definition of the radioactive source as well as
the RADDECAY card (that you have to use in semi-analogue).

Have a look on the USRBIN score. I think you can play with it (mesh binning
o region scoring) to obtain your results in different ways (depending also
on the final goal of your simulation)
 
Briefly the main ingredients are :
-Definition of the 137Cs source from the BEAM/BEAMPOS/HI-PROPE cards
-RADDECAY (semi-analogue)
-USRBIN + DCYSCORE (semi-analogue)
 
NB: Your result will be normalized per one disintegration!

Dear all,
I am a graduate student in Energy Engineering from the University of Bologna
and I am approaching this new software.
I would get the simulation results in absorbed dose for Bq for a 1cmx1cmx1cm
detector of sodium iodide with point source of CS137 (660KeV) at 1 meter
distance. Can anybody please help me?
