Hi Duncan

are you using the gfortran version or the g77.
Normally the g77 version of fluka should work with no problem.
If it is the gfortran version recently we changed to the new compiler
which is incompatible with the past versions. In this case we could have solution

Cheers
Vasilis

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Hi all, quick question really

Hi all,

I am a sysadmin for a user group who use Fluka/Flair etc on RedHat linux on PC architectures. We were using a Redhat v6 rack workstation and it’s fluka install recently stopped working, usually in these circumstances I simply upgrade to the latest version of both Fluka and Flair however in this case it seems that fluka2011.2c-3 is no longer compatible with Redhat v6 (we were using fluka2011.2c-1)

So the basic question is this, can the latest Fluka be rebuilt from source using only the glibc 2.12 which is available on RHv6 ?

If not is a version of fluka2011.2c-2 available and is it compatible with Redhat 6’s limited glibc install. I’d rather not go as far as to build a whole chroot environment just to run fluka, if it came right down to it I’d rather upgrade the whole machine, however our experience/support of redhat v7 is fairly limited at the moment thanks to its changes.

Thanks in advance
Duncan
