I am Sung Hun Kim, at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea.
I am trying to evaluate the activity of accelerator and surrounding
geometry.
Proton beam would be irradiated on water target, and the activity of
surrounding concrete walls has to be estimated.
I have question about irradiation of the beam.
As I know, there is two cards that correspond irradiating the beam: START
and IRRPROFIle cards.
In START card, the number of primary proton beam is to be set, and in
IRRPROFIle card, the irradiation information is to be set.
The thing is that I cannot understand the difference between START and
IRRPROFIle cards.
If I want to shoot the proton beam of the total number of particle is
5.913e24 (irradiation time=3.2436e7, p/s=1.875e17, which has no irradiation
time interval), should I use only START card putting the number of primary
proton as 5.913e24, or should I use only IRRPROFIle card putting as
irradiation time=3.2436e7, p/s=1.875e17... OR should I use both of START and
IRRPROFIle cards putting "irradiation time=3.2436e7, p/s=1.875e17 in
IRRPROFIle", and "No=5.913e24 in START (match the total number of irradiated
beam in IRRPROFIle card)"?
If more detailed information about my question is necessary, please let me
know.
