Dear Karol,
Attached the document you asked for. Concerning the procedure, you have to

  1. Create a FLUKA executable linked against your customized FLUSCW.f (please refer to the manual, section 13)
  2. Add USERWEIG card inside the inputfile (with the appropriate WHAT(3)). This card instructs FLUKA to use the weight factors defined in your customized FLUSCW.
(i.e. USERWEIG provides only a “trigger” in order to use a customized FLUSCW routine. The latter needs to be linked in the FLUKA executable, otherwise FLUKA will use the default routine - as distributed in $FLUPRO/usermvax - that does nothing)

Hope this could help.
Best regards, luigi

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: RE: How to implement dose conversion coefficients

Dear Mr. Roesler,
Thank you very much for you last response.
I am affraid that I still need some help.

In the Fluka manual, there is only one sentence about deq99

http://www.fluka.org/fluka.php?id=man_onl&sub=99

"A version of FLUSCW converting particle fluences to various forms of dose equivalent and effective dose is available in file deq99.f, in the $FLUPRO/flutil directory. Instructions for its use are contained in the comment lines at the beginning of the file." but comment are not so

As I understand I don’t need to use the Auxscore card. There are only 7 default coefficient factor(AMB74, AMBGS, EAP74, EAPMP, ERT74, ERTMP, EWT74, EWTMP). To prepare my own conversion coefficient I have to use Userweig card- and then add fluscw routine.

I have tried to compile the fluscw routine, with the values from deq99.
I suppouse, that I should be able to choose new routine from the USERWEIG card-do i think well?
Nothing was changed, with my results (or I didn't see changes).

Could I kindly ask you for help one more time. If some of you had got similar problem before, I will be thankful for some examples, of implemens fluscw routine with own conversion coefficient

Moreover
on this lectures
http://www.fluka.org/content/course/NEA/lectures/Activation.pdf
on 17 slide, there is a link for the PDF.
Exactly I haven’t got acces for the CERN system. Could I kindly ask you for send me this document-I hope it could be useful for my problem.

Dear Karol

The conversion coefficients available in FLUKA are identical to those in deq99c and therefore the latter is not needed/supported anymore.

deq99c is based on the FLUKA user routine fluscw and you could follow the same approach for implementing your own conversion coefficients.

Cheers
Stefan

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: How to implement dose conversion coefficients

Dear Fluka Expersts

I would like to kindly aks you how could I implement my own conversion factor from fluence to dose equivalent in Fluka.

I have found on the fluka webpage that there are many kinds of fluency to effective / ambient dose conversion coefficients:
http://www.fluka.org/fluka.php?id=examples&sub=example4&node=6#sec-res

There is an information about the file name: deq99c.f, subdirectory: flutil, specially prepared for implemented conversion factor. I have found on the fluka discussion that this special subroutine is not supported anymore.

Moreover, I have found in the Fluka Lectures, that the Auxscore Card defines filters and conversion coefficients, but in the Auxscore, I can use only a few default conversion coefficients (EAP74, ERT74, ..) https://www.fluka.org/free_download/course/portugal2010/Lectures/AdvancedScoring2010.pdf page 15.

My main questions:

How could i implement my own conversion coefficients?
Which subroutine should I use, and how should it looks like?
Could I kindly ask you for any demo, (if someone of you have got similar problem/work before) to see how should subroutine looks like, and how to implement it.

I would be very grateful for your help.

Best regards
Karol Szymczyk
