Dear Dirk,
Fluka uses, both for photon cross sections and edge energies, the
tabulations in epdl97:
https://www-nds.iaea.org/epdl97/

Indeed, there are differences between epdl97 and nist for Tungsten.
Thank you for spotting. At the moment, an update is not foreseen, it
should involve both cross sections an edges for all elements.


As for direct electron impact ionization, the plan is there, however the
future is not so near, sorry.
