Dear All Fluka users,

I need your help regarding an error while I was going through the Fluka wsl set-up.
When the server was trying to connect to the fluka website I received the following error:

--2021-01-04 07:45:37-- https://www.fluka.org/packages/fluka2020.0-linux-gfor64bit-8.3-AA.tar.gz
Resolving www.fluka.org (www.fluka.org)... 193.205.78.76
Connecting to www.fluka.org (www.fluka.org)|193.205.78.76|:443... connected.
OpenSSL: error:1425F102:SSL routines:ssl_choose_client_version:unsupported protocol
Unable to establish SSL connection.
### - Download of FLUKA failed
### - No FLUKA package available, try again later
### - Cleaning up Ubuntu

Can you help me out?

Thanks
Luca J Tagliapietra

Hello
Fedora 33 has a strict policy for SSL versions.

The real solution will be to update the fluka website. This will come in the future.

For the moment:
Chrome works, it is enough to accept the connection when asked.

For firefox the workaround is to give, once for ever, from the command line:

update-crypto-policies --set DEFAULT:FEDORA32

This has to be issued from the root use. Otherwise, from a user with
root privileges:

sudo update-crypto-policies --set DEFAULT:FEDORA32

restart firefox afterwards.

Hope this helps

Happy new year to you and all fluka users

Paola
