about (alpha, n) reaction

It is my pleasure to join this mailing list.

I have some questions about the calculation of (alpha, n) reaction. Make alpha hit the Be target, for example.
When the energy of alpha is greater than several hundred, the neutron spectrum is got.
But if the energy of alpha is tens of MeV, no neutron is got.
Some other settings are needed? Then what I should do?
