Can we build the 64 bit version of fluka on an i686?

Hello everyone,

Is it ok/possible to build fluka with the 64 bit libraries on x86_64
systems, using g77? I am running into the problem of building flukahp
on an x86_64 which doesn't have the 32 bit libraries installed. For
instance, there is /usr/lib64/crtn.o but no /usr/lib/crtn.o.

Also, 'https://www.fluka.org/fluka.php?id=secured_intro' says gfortran
version >=4.5 is required but when I tried building in a system with gcc
version 4.4.7
I got messages, saying:
gfortran >= 4.6 is required for running FLUKA!!

So my question is will gcc/gfortran 4.5 work or is 4.6 or higher required?

This version of the code should be run on the platforms for which it has
been released, which are:

*GNU/Linux (i686 and x86_64)* requires gcc/g77 (version >= 3.4)
*GNU/Linux (x86_64)* beta version, requires gcc/gfortran (version >= 4.5)

Many thanks in advance,
Mina
