Dear Arnaud,

Before getting to your actual question I would like to clarify one point: in order to create the neutrons from a Pu-Be source, you need to use a source routine which samples the from the corresponding neutron spectrum (which you have to define by yourself in the routine), i.e. there is no possibility to directly define such a source via cards. This has been discussed earlier on the FLUKA discuss list (http://www.fluka.org/web_archive/earchive/new-fluka-discuss/3827.html). Hence, defining the material alone, will not help in defining the source.

Secondly, it is also not possible to define multiple spherical sources in an input file, but you can easily do this in the source routine. This has also been discussed previously on the FLUKA list:
http://www.fluka.org/web_archive/earchive/new-fluka-discuss/5137.html
http://www.fluka.org/web_archive/earchive/new-fluka-discuss/5469.html

Cheers, Anton

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Multiple sources

Hello,

It's the first time i'm asking for help, I am pretty new to fluka, and also quite a little lost. I have those three neutron radiating Pu-Be sources (managed to define the material using a compound card), with maximum neutron energy being 10.6 MeV (avg 4.5 MeV). How do you define multiple spherical neutron sources in fluka?

Thanks for your answers,

Arnaud A.
