Dear FLUKA support team,
I am installing fluka-2011.2x-3.x86_64 in fedora24.
during installation of the rpm package the following error has ocurred:
Detailed errors from the package manager follow:
Could not depsolve transaction; 1 problem detected:
0. nothing provides libgfortran.so.5()(64bit) needed by fluka-2011.2x-3.x86_64
I tried to install libgfortran-8.1.1-5.fc28.x86_64.rpm[1], which to
the best of my knowledge, includes ibgfortran.so.5()(64bit), on my
computer.
But, unfotunately, the following error has ocurred:
Detailed errors from the package manager follow:
Could not depsolve transaction; 1 problem detected:
0. nothing provides libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.27)(64bit) needed by
libgfortran-8.1.1-5.fc28.x86_64
I tried more effort to install ibm.so.6 om my computer through
terminal by dnf install ibm.so.6
again, the following problem has happened:
[root_at_mahmoudreza ~]# dnf install libm.so.6
Last metadata expiration check: 0:17:59 ago on Fri Aug 17 06:18:17 2018.
Package glibc-2.23.1-12.fc24.i686 is already installed, skipping.
Dependencies resolved.
Nothing to do.
Complete!
[root_at_mahmoudreza ~]#
please let me know, should I upgrade my fedora24 to fedora28 for not
encountering these problems?
Regards,
Mahmoudreza
