I came accross the same problem related here in an 4 year old post :

I run fluka through a fedora 27 linux machine installed on virtual box
(on windows 7) since I do not have yet the requirements to use docker
and have an out of date linux machine.
So far so good, I managed to run a simulation.
1) By when I try to plot with geometry I receive the same error message
and I checked, I am able (ie do have the rights) to write in the
"path"/flutil directory
This one fails when trying to run fluka with plotgeom card in order to
produce the geometry file
2) Whenever I choose not to plot with geometry, I got the plot with
those gnuplot error messages:
" slow font initializationend
qt_processTermEvent received a GE_fontprops event"
=> Could it be an gnuplot error?
Any hint would be appreciated.
