Dear Simon,

Although I am a customary FLUKA user, not an expert, I may share with you
my point of view about your question, because I faced exactly the same
issue when trying to compare MC with experimental or calculated dosimetry
data.

As far as I know (FLUKA expert advice should be considered) FLUKA does not
perform gamma index calculation. Nonetheless, the common practice is to
calculate DTA, dose differences and gamma index by independent means
(python/matlab home-made scripts, for example).

About your question " Is there a way to convert the unit from FLUKA for
DOSE-EQ (pSv/primary) to Gray? - and when please give some hints how to do
it" I may suggest (please, refer & wait for a FLUKA expert advice) to use
your beam current (particles per unit time) to assess a dose rate
normalization.

Regarding your other question "How do we setup an accelerator in FLUKA? We
need the same accelerator in FLUKA as we use in Eclipse." please let me
comment that FLUKA is not a TPS, it is a general purpose Monte Carlo main
code. The "logic" behind radiation sources/equipment definition is rather
different for TPS and MC codes. When using MC codes you may assess
complete/full radiation transport, hence higher representation accuracy, at
least a priori. But, there is work necessary to define the radiation
source. It is worth mentioning that in the particular case of clinical
linacs, there are some available phase state files representing different
linacs, you may be interested in aimed at saving time & efforts during the
simulation configuration.

Hope this help,

Regards,
