Allo all,

I have a geometry comprising of beam in the Z-plane at a distance of 10cm
from my detector. I wish to carry out simulations for two cases:

   1. Beam parallel to the geometry
   2. Beam perpendicular to the geometry.

I am suing the BEAMAXES card to orient the beam w.r.t he detector. I have
the cards from the two cases below:

A. For the first case i.e. beam parallel to the detector (cosine angle =0
deg):

* Define the beam characteristics

BEAM -0.01 -0.0 -0.0 1.41 1.41 NEUTRON

* Position of beam

BEAMPOS 0.0 0.0 -10. 0.0 0.0

BEAMAXES 1.0

B. For the first case i.e. beam parallel to the detector (cosine angle = 90
deg):

* Define the beam characteristics

BEAM -0.01 -0.0 -0.0 1.41 1.41 NEUTRON

* Position of beam

BEAMPOS 0.0 0.0 -10. 0.0 0.0

*NO BEAMAXES CARD

Am I doing it right?
Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cheers,
Shri

(Srinidhi Bheesette)
